The piece is designed from one person’s biometric data. I 3D-scanned the face and designed a nose piece that fits only that person. The nose was chosen deliberately: it is the most central and visible part of the face, and for many people a source of insecurity or ridicule. The surface texture refers to fingerprint ridges, which are unique to each person, as the piece is: made for one person, but about something everyone shares.
